    @beautifulskin, I eat only things that are needeed, granola bars r a waste or calories, eat an apple in the morning, take your vitamins, eat a Turkey sandwich, and then a piece of Chicken for dinner. Then go work off those calories on the tread mill at least an hour worth of running. I’ve went from 217 to 199 now soo… It works, your body will eventually get use to it, but the first week your gut will growl lol

    Runin’ is bad for you knees and joints! if you want good cardio go dancing. try the bycicle. if your going to run, run on grass, at the beach, you know what I mean.

    thanks for the advice!
    Congrats on losing 18lbs! Not easy!
    I’ve been working out hard for almost a month now and I’ve cut out all fried foods and flour and even sweets which was the hardest for me and I still haven’t lost any weight. I even do interval training 4x/week and still nothing.. I’m considering using a fat burner to help me.

    @lallier12
    It’s almost been a month but I know, I should be more patient and persistent. I am slowly starting to see results!
    But thank you so much for the motivation.
    It really helps.

    Honestly, just run for an hour a night around 5.5 on a treadmill a nice easy jog. Eat only the essentials for the day and you will loose it.

    Running is bad for your knees IF you have bad knees already. For those who don’t, its just as great of a cardio exercise as the bicycle and elliptical…and so forth

    Although most treadmills boast shock-absorption features than can limit the impact on your joints, using treadmills or running can still put considerable strain on your feet, knees and hips. Let us save a step and switch to an elliptical machine or stationary bike leaving running for a last case scenario. This way one can preserve what ever joint mobility they have for an older age.

    Stay away from walking? Isnt that excersise too? If I gotta walk about 2 miles to the gym almost every other day, then run for about 15-20 minutes straight on a treadmill, 10 on a bike, an additional 5 on whatever miscelaneous cardio machine, then an additional hour doing various arobic excersises, isnt that better than nothing? Give me some ideas here people. Whats a resonable amount of cardio time?

    The problem is that fitness is I believe 70% your diet and 30% is exercise. If you can’t control your diet then it doesn’t matter how much exercise you do. I’ve been there and its painful to discover this fact.
